Vinny’s Sausage Saturday: A Family Recipe Meets Our Best-Selling Wine

Some stories begin with a vineyard. Ours begins with a kitchen.

Our Italian sausage recipe has been passed down through three generations, starting with my grandfather, Vincenzo. My mom used to joke that my dad only married her to get the recipe. He probably didn’t disagree. Over the years, my dad put his own twist on it, and then I perfected it—making it the recipe you’ll find in our winery kitchen today.

What makes it special? It’s always been about keeping it simple and honest: fresh, coarse-ground pork and our signature blend of spices that strike just the right balance of bold and savory. It’s comfort food you can taste, the kind that carries the laughter of a Sunday dinner table or the smoke of a backyard grill.

This week, we’re adding something new to the story: red wine. And not just any red wine, our very own Vinny No Neck Sangiovese.

Vinny No Neck has a story, too. Named after our son Vincent (who, we joked, would be a foot taller if he grew a neck), this Italian-style red has become our number one best seller year after year. It’s a Sangiovese with an attitude: bright, bold, and endlessly drinkable—the kind of wine that pairs with family as much as it does with food.

Bringing the two together felt natural. This Saturday, we’ll be sampling both our classic recipe sausage and our new Vinny No Neck Sangiovese-infused sausage. You can taste them hot off the grill, and if you love them, grab a pound (or three) to take home. Pair it with a bottle of Vinny No Neck, and you’ve got yourself a tradition worth sharing.

Because at the end of the day, our sausage, just like our wine, was made for the same reason: to be enjoyed with family and friends.
