Art Show and Launch Party
It wasn’t more than a month ago that we unveiled the 2008 Cabernet Franc, only it was masked in an artistic label with a cartoon roadrunner on it.
We called this wine Rowdy Red as homage to the Metropolitan State College of Denver mascot and are donating proceeds to Metro scholarship funds.
Now we’re taking our relationship with Metro to the next level and bringing a host of young artists with us. On Friday, Nov. 12, we’re opening the doors of the winery for the Metro State Student Art Show, featuring the paintings of several budding artists who’ve been learning under the tutelage of legendary local artist Carlos Fresquez.
The art and wine party will also celebrate Metro’s 45th anniversary. Wines will be available for purchase by the glass/bottle and complimentary light snacks. Plus you’ll get the chance to purchase exceptional art, before these students become household names.
The limited edition bottles of Rowdy Red will be for sale too, so you can take home a delicious wine and help give students access to higher education at Metro.

Rowdy Red tasting notes to, you know, whet your palates: “Cranberry, vanilla, mint, tea on the nose. Earthy, black fruits wrapped in tobacco.”
